Our Early College Academy, the first such program at a public charter high school in the city, offers highly motivated students the opportunity to earn up to two years’ college credit before graduation. 2020-21 Virtual After-School Club Registration
All after-school clubs are virtual until Friendship resumes in-person instruction for all students at all campuses. Clubs will run from 4:00 – 5:00 pm on designated club days. Please read through the club descriptions below before you attempt to enroll. Please note that there are limited slots available for each club. Please do not register for more than two clubs.

Knight News
The Knight Times is the school newspaper written and designed by Collegiate Academy students. Students will write, edit, and layout monthly issues of the school newspaper.

Black Girls Code
The goal of this club is to increase the number of women of color in the digital space by empowering girls of color ages 7 to 17 to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities, and builders of their own futures through exposure to computer science and technology. Black Girls Code will provide Collegiate Academy young ladies with the skills to occupy some of the 1.4 million computing job openings in the U.S.

Robotics Team
All students are natural scientists and engineers. The Robotics Club will offer students the chance to design, build, and program a VEX 5 robot. Students will participate in competitions throughout the school year. This club is for students who love to question, tinker, experiment and play. VEX competitions foster these skills and capitalize on the motivational effects of competitions and robotics to help all students create an identity as a STEM learner. Students will also gain valuable soft skills like communication, collaboration and time-management in a fun and authentic way.

Marching Band/Color Guard/Band Dancers
In addition to being a part of the Collegiate Marching Knights, students will be given the most basic instruction from instrument assembly, care, and maintenance, to advanced techniques as he/she progresses during at-home practice and eventually in-school instruction.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Jr.
This club encourages students to attend college and pursue technical degrees. Students can also receive college application information including how to get into college, financial aid information, etc.

High School Esports League’s Fall Major is a nationwide eight-week gaming tournament where students can play and compete with friends and classmates in 6 top video games, with the champion schools of each game winning free game consoles! Games include Overwatch, CS:GO, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros: Ultimate, Rainbow Six: Siege, Hearthstone, NBA 2K 21, Madden 21, Minecraft: Survival Games, Modern Warfare: Gunfight, and Valorant.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Students must have the game console, online subscription, and game at home in order to participate in the Esports League.
